If you have any of these symptoms, Dr. Jurbala can help:

Swollen or Puffy Elbow That Is Painful When Lifting

Pain that radiates from your elbow up your arm or down your arm

Pain in your elbow that wakes you up at night, preventing you from getting a good night's sleep

Weakness with gripping or pinching

A Safe, Innovative Approach To Relieve Your Tennis Elbow Pain.

Dr. Jurbala’s revolutionary and comprehensive solution to tennis elbow treatment — called the USA Tennis Elbow Procedure® — offers a superior surgical experience over traditional open and arthroscopic procedures for tennis elbow.  Although it’s still technically “surgery,” the USA Tennis Elbow Procedure® can be performed on a Friday and you could be back to work as early as Monday.

No Stitches or Noticeable Scars

No General Anesthesia

Light activities, such as driving and eating, are possible the same day as your procedure. Return to a physically demanding job in 3 to 7 days and heavy activity in 1 to 2 weeks.

Your one incision will be less than ¼” in size. Most people only need skin tape and heal quickly. And because you won’t have stitches to remove, we can follow up with you over the phone.

We only need local anesthesia to completely eliminate your procedural pain. And because we use a special vibration instrument to mask the anesthetic injection, you’ll barely even feel it.

Return to Work in 3 to 7 Days

Targeted Minimally Invasive Treatment

We will evaluate your tennis elbow symptoms, examine you, and perform a high-resolution ultrasound exam to confirm the diagnosis prior to performing the USA Tennis Elbow Procedure in the comfort of our office. The procedure itself takes 15 minutes, with an hour of total office time. Procedure times may vary. Because we only use local anesthetic you can usually drive yourself home afterward, and we can even do both elbows at the same time!

The USA Tennis Elbow Procedure® is covered by most insurance plans. Plus, you’ll avoid paying thousands of dollars in hospital and anesthesia fees. Generally, you’ll pay between 50 and 80% less for the USA Tennis Elbow Procedure® than an arthroscopic or open surgery performed in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center.

High-resolution ultrasound guidance gives Dr. Jurbala an unprecedented multilevel view of your elbow and the tendon that causes tennis elbow. This translates to improved precision and a single, tiny, ¼” incision site, minimizing surgical impact and recovery time.

15-Minute In-Office Procedure

Here are just two of the thousands of patients from all over the USA (and abroad) we have helped with our office-based, minimally invasive procedures.

“I work in healthcare and I do accounting and it was really nice that the price I was quoted for the surgery was the exact price I paid, there were no hidden fees. [...] I literally was able to work and go out to theme parks [in Orlando] the very next day […] I pretty much could do whatever I want [within two weeks of the procedure] [...] travel, lift my laptop, lift my luggage and I have actually gone bowling [with that arm].”

- Noel A., USA Tennis Elbow ProcedureTM patient

“I love coming to this office because the staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is in place and that you are comfortable with whatever procedure you are having done. [...] I have had four procedures [tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, trigger finger and DeQuervain’s tendonitis] and I would highly recommend Dr. J to do your tennis elbow, carpal tunnel or trigger finger surgery […] as a matter of fact I just recommended him to someone yesterday”

- Durinda W., USA Tennis Elbow ProcedureTM patient

Dr. Brian Jurbala, MD, FAAOS

“We’re here to provide the best tennis elbow surgical experience a patient can have. Period. That’s what we’re all about.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does this procedure work?

This minimally invasive treatment for tennis elbow reproduces a time tested traditional open tennis elbow procedure that was performed for decades called, a “lateral release”. Using high resolution ultrasound guidance and the six-time patented TenoTomeTM instrument (designed by Dr. Jurbala) we are able to perform the lateral release procedure through a tiny, less than ¼” skin incision in your forearm helping you recover much faster and there are no stitches to take out.

Q: Why do patients recover from this so fast?

Because it's less invasive, our procedure reduces debilitating and unneeded trauma during surgery, therefore our patients recover in days instead of weeks.

Q: Do you take insurance?

This procedure is covered by most insurance plans. We also have cash pay and financing options available.

Q: What if I have not been diagnosed yet?

If you've not yet been diagnosed or treated conservatively for tennis elbow we will perform a thorough history, physical exam and a high-resolution ultrasound study at the time of your visit to confirm the diagnosis of tennis elbow. If you do indeed have tennis elbow we discuss all your options and, if you are a candidate for the USA Tennis Elbow Procedure®, we can perform the procedure the same day/same visit. There is no back and forth or run around for additional expensive tests or need to go to another facility.

How Our Tennis Elbow Treatment Effectively Eliminates Your Pain

Dr. Brian Jurbala, our triple board certified, fellowship trained upper extremity and sports medicine specialist has developed a breakthrough procedure for eliminating the pain of tennis elbow that is accurate, successful, and affordable. This minimally invasive, office-based procedure for tennis elbow called, “The USA Tennis Elbow Procedure” relieves the pain and symptoms and, in most cases, allows a patient to return to productive, normal activity in as little as 3 days. Our schedules are rapidly filling, so complete the form above or call our toll-free number for a consultation today!

Our procedure utilizes high resolution ultrasound guidance and the TenoTomeTM disposable surgical knife, a patented tool designed and developed by Dr. Jurbala to precisely and seamlessly lengthen the tight tendon and muscle responsible for causing disabling tennis elbow pain. The procedure is performed through a ¼” incision and requires no stitches. Releasing the tendon allows the muscle to lengthen thereby taking force off the painful anchor site at the side of the elbow relieving your symptoms almost immediately.

Q: Do you treat Golfer's Elbow?

Yes.

Traditional Open Tennis Elbow Procedure Incision

USA Tennis Elbow Procedure TM Incision

See what other patients are saying about us and our minimally invasive office based procedures.

Q: How successful is the procedure?

Although results may vary from patient to patient, most patients obtain near complete relief of their pain within the first two weeks. In a small percentage of patients (estimate less than 5 %) there can be other causes of your elbow pain that mimic tennis elbow. This is very rare but patients need to be aware that there is a possibility the procedure doesn’t work and you require an additional procedure to get better.

Q: When can I return to work?

Most patients return in 3 to 7 days.

Q: Are there risks of complications?

As with any procedure there is a small less than 1 % risk of infection, and although we have never had any there is the theoretical potential for unforeseen complications such as; damage to nerves and vessels.
